Speech & Scripts

Teleprompter for Mac processes your speech using Apple's on-device Speech Recognition framework. Audio is processed entirely on your Mac and is never sent to our servers.

Your scripts are stored locally using macOS UserDefaults. We do not have access to your script content.

• Script text you enter
• App preferences (font size, highlight settings, window position)

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

Microphone Access

The app requires microphone access for speech recognition. Audio is processed in real-time on your device and is not recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Analytics

We do not collect analytics, usage data, or any telemetry from the app.

How We Use Your Information

• Local Data: Used solely to provide app functionality on your device
• Speech Data: Processed on-device by Apple's Speech framework to match spoken words to your script for scrolling

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with any third parties. Teleprompter for Mac operates entirely offline after installation.

Data Security

Your data is stored locally on your Mac using secure storage methods provided by macOS. Since no data is transmitted to external servers, there is no risk of server-side data breaches.

Data Retention

All data remains on your Mac until you delete the app or clear app data. We do not retain any information.

Your Rights

• Access: View all your data within the app
• Delete: Remove all data by deleting the app
• Control: Microphone and Speech Recognition access can be revoked at any time in System Settings > Privacy & Security
