Teleprompter That Follows You Across Spaces
macOS Spaces lets you organize apps across virtual desktops you swipe between with a trackpad gesture. By default, an app belongs to the Space where you placed it. Telepront's floating panel can be assigned to All Desktops so the prompter appears on every Space, including ones with full-screen apps. Free native Swift app.
See It in Action
macOS has supported virtual desktops since Lion, and Spaces remains the cleanest way to compartmentalize work on a single Mac. Many creators dedicate one Space to recording, another to editing, and a third to messaging. The downside is that an app you launch on one Space stays there unless you tell macOS otherwise, which means a teleprompter window can vanish the moment you swipe.
Telepront supports macOS's standard window-assignment options. Right-click the Dock icon, open Options, and choose Assign To: All Desktops. From that point on, the floating panel appears on every Space you swipe to, with always-on-top behavior preserved. You can keep the prompter visible while you switch between your recording Space, your slides Space, and your chat Space.
Full-screen apps in macOS create their own Space. The All Desktops assignment generally works there too, although some apps that go truly exclusive full-screen can outrank the panel. For best results, use windowed mode for the apps you record alongside the prompter.
Mission Control plays nicely. Triggering it gives you a bird's-eye view of your Spaces, and dismissing it brings you back to wherever you were with Telepront still in place. Voice tracking keeps running through the whole interaction.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make Telepront show on every Space?
Right-click Telepront's Dock icon, choose Options, and pick Assign To: All Desktops. macOS will then show the panel on every Space.
Does it appear on full-screen Spaces?
macOS treats full-screen apps as their own Space. The panel will appear there too once assigned to All Desktops, though some apps in true full-screen can take precedence.
Will Mission Control disrupt my scroll position?
No. Opening Mission Control briefly hides app windows, but Telepront returns with your script in the same place.
Can I have different prompter setups per Space?
Telepront has one floating panel. If you need separate setups, leave the assignment as This Desktop and place the panel manually on the Space you're using.
Is the app free?
Yes. Telepront is free on the Mac App Store.
Ready to try it?
